The OHI Core Team comprises 15 multidisciplinary experts from Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Egypt. Their combined expertise spans dentistry (DMD, DDS), epidemiology, public health, infectious disease medicine, community health informatics, and implementation science. The Core Team provides overall leadership for the initiative, mentors early-career researchers, oversees systematic reviews and study proposals, and sets strategic direction — including the Cascading Mentorship Model introduced in Cohort 4.
