Introducing the COHORT 1 – Fellow
I'm Adebukunola Olajumoke Afolabi, a nurse researcher and lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and I feel deeply privileged to have been part of the first cohort of the Oral Health Initiative (OHI) Fellowship. Being selected for the Fellowship was a significant turning point in my career, giving me the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors, connect with fellow researchers, and grow in confidence as a researcher. The experience has stayed with me, not only because of what I learned, but also because of the generosity, encouragement, and support received throughout the Fellowship and beyond. I am sincerely grateful to OHI and our amiable mentors, led by Prof. Morenike Folayan, for an experience that continues to inspire my growth as a researcher and my desire to support others in their research journeys.
